Who This Is For
For Creators Teaching Something That Actually Matters
Maybe that means tutorials. Maybe it’s sharing professional expertise. Maybe it’s helping people solve real problems in their everyday lives.
Different topics, different channels. The goal is the same: create content that genuinely helps people.
Most of the creators I work with aren’t beginners. They’re already putting in the work.
What they’re usually missing isn’t effort.
It’s strategic clarity.
Meet Ingrid
My work in the YouTube space really comes down to one thing. Conversations.
Over the past six+ years I’ve worked as a YouTube consultant directly with more than 500 creators across a wide range of niches. Some of those relationships lasted an hour or two, others months, or even years.

During that time I also worked inside companies like Video Creators and vidIQ as a YouTube strategist. At vidIQ, I served as Director of Coaching Success, training more than 40 YouTube strategists and coaches on growth strategies while continuing to work closely with creators analyzing their channels and content.
Across thousands of hours of conversations the focus has always been the same. Figuring out what will actually create momentum for a creator’s channel.
Most of the people I work with are not beginners. They are smart, capable YouTube creators who already know their subject and are putting in the work. What they are usually missing is not effort. It is clarity.
And that is where I tend to come alive.
One of my natural strengths is ideation. Seeing possibilities and connections that others do not immediately see. It shows up in almost every personality assessment I have ever taken and it shows up even more clearly when I am in a live strategy session with a creator.
It does not take much to spark the process. A question about their audience. A data point in their analytics. Something they say casually about their business. Suddenly we are pulling threads together, exploring ideas, and opening up new directions for the channel.

These moments are my favorite part of the work. Watching someone go from feeling stuck to suddenly seeing possibilities they had not considered before. By the end of those conversations the wheels are turning and they are thinking about their channel in a completely different way.
A lot of the creators I work with come back for that exact reason. They value the thinking process that happens inside those conversations. The goal is not just to hand someone a list of tactics. Sure, you can bet you'll leave with a list of actionable steps for growth. But it's more about helping them understand their channel, their audience, and their data well enough that they can make smarter data-driven, strategic decisions going forward.
Along the way I have been fortunate to play a small part in many creator milestones. I have worked with brand new channels just getting started, helping many creators reach and celebrate their Silver and Gold Play Buttons, and dig in deep with established channels with audiences of more than 10 million subscribers. Being part of these moments, even in a small way, is something I genuinely enjoy.
But, my perspective does not come only from coaching and consulting.
My own YouTube journey started back in 2012 as a how-to creator with an offline business. I built a YouTube channel in a competitive micro-niche and experienced firsthand how frustrating and powerful the platform can be when the strategy is aligned with a larger goal.

That experience helped shape how I approach strategy today.
Many of the creators I work with are also entrepreneurs. They have businesses, products, programs, or books connected to the work they are doing. YouTube is not just a creative outlet for them. It is part of a much bigger picture.
One of the things I enjoy most is helping creators see how their channel fits into that bigger picture. When YouTube is approached strategically it can become a natural, evergreen marketing arm for a business while still serving and educating the audience.
And when I am not deep in YouTube analytics or strategy conversations, you will probably find me in my garden growing cut flowers or sitting on the patio playing Rummikub, Cribbage or full-card Yahtzee with my husband Michael.

What I Actually Do
Strategic Conversations That Unlock Growth
Most of the real lightbulb moments happen in conversations with creators.
When I'm in those conversations, and even looking at your data, I start seeing possibilities. Usually things you've missed, simply because you're so close to the content. You've spent hours, sometimes days creating it. It's natural to lose perspective.
So the first step is digging deep to understand your audience and the transformation you're trying to create in their lives. Then we start connecting the dots between the content you're making and how YouTube is actually distributing your videos.
Sometimes the solution is tactical. Often it’s strategic clarity. Not just for you, but for how clearly the algorithm can understand your content.
Next, comes the fun part. Identifying the actionable steps that allow you to confidently create videos that produce predictable results in a sustainable way.
The goal is simple. Helping creators focus their effort where it actually moves the needle.

Not sure where to start, or looking for something different?
Some creators want help deciding which option would be the best fit. Others are looking for more than a one-time consultation, whether that means deeper strategy conversations, a more done-for-you approach, or the ability to work through decisions together as their channel grows.
I also work with a limited number of creators in a more high-touch, one-on-one capacity. If you're unsure where to start, want to explore other options, or simply want to talk through what you're trying to accomplish, start with a Growth Clarity Call and we can figure out what makes the most sense for you.
Start with a Growth Clarity Call
This short 30-minute call is simply a chance for us to talk about your channel, your goals, and what you're trying to accomplish on YouTube.
Some creators use it to decide which option might be the best fit. Others just want to talk through their situation and see whether working together would actually be helpful.
If it makes sense, we can talk about next steps.
YouTube Creator Research Interviews
Right now I’m having a lot of conversations with creators.
I’m speaking with how-to and educational creators who are putting real effort into their channels but are starting to question whether that effort is or even can translate into meaningful growth.
These conversations focus on the frustrations creators run into once they’ve been publishing for a while. The moments where the strategy stops feeling clear, the results don’t match the effort, or growth becomes unpredictable.
This isn’t a coaching session. It’s simply a research conversation designed to better understand where capable creators are getting stuck.
If that sounds familiar, I’d love to hear about your experience.
These interviews are part of a larger research project aimed at helping creators build more predictable growth strategies.
